Important Message Regarding COVID-19
A MESSAGE TO OUR PATIENTS AND FUTURE PATIENTS REGARDING OUR REOPENING:
We know the situation is still unsettling and hope that you are finding ways to stay safe. We have been carefully monitoring the health and safety updates related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and we have taken many precautions to date, as the safety of our patients and staff remains of utmost importance to us. We are happy though to be OPEN and are eager to continue to work with you!
In keeping with guidelines and recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and from the local infection control doctors during this time of concern about the spread of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), we are making some temporary changes in the practice patterns and recommendations for the patients that we are honored to serve. We know information is fluid and constantly changing, so we ask that you please be patient as we may continue to have to make difficult decisions in light of CDC recommendations.
All services offered at our Savannah center as well as our Pooler and Rincon satellite locations are by appointment only. Please call 912-355-4601 to schedule both speech and audiology services.
Please note that we are doing our best to clean and disinfect our center locations daily, taking care to ensure as safe a space as possible for our patients and staff members.
If you have recently experienced symptoms of COVID 19 or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID 19, we ask that you please reschedule your appointment for a later date or in the case of speech therapy, that you consider a tele-therapy session. Please call the front desk at 912-355-4601 to make these arrangements.
We ask that all patients, group members and any accompanying visitors coming to our center and satellite locations to kindly wear masks or face coverings that fully cover noses and mouths that fit snugly across the sides of the face in accordance with CDC guidance.
We also ask that when possible, social distancing be maintained, staying at least 6 feet (about 2 arm lengths) from other people who are outside of their own household.
If the accompanying family members or friends of patients prefer to remain in their cars during therapy or service sessions, we will happily assist our patients of any ages and especially children back to those cars at the end of their time with us.
Special Audiology Services
Hearing Aid Checks
We are glad to again offer service for hearing aid checks if scheduled through our front office by calling 912.355.4601. Please note that curbside service is an option, if you prefer that. We ask that you just call us again once arriving at the location, we will then come to your car to get your hearing aid, then after checking, return it to you.
If you are a cochlear implant patient and are having issues with your equipment, please contact Cochlear Americas at 1-800-483-3123. For any other concerns about your cochlear implant, please contact Dr. Richardson at SRichardson@speechandhearingSAV.org.
