About Savannah Speech & Hearing Center
Our mission is to provide access to comprehensive speech, hearing, language and other therapeutic services that empower and transform lives.
Overview
Serving Savannah since 1954, Savannah Speech & Hearing Center has grown from a small community clinic into a comprehensive, nonprofit resource for communication, hearing, and rehabilitation services for people of all ages. What has never changed is our unwavering belief that everyone deserves the chance to connect, learn, recover, and thrive.
For more than 70 years, our team has blended compassionate care with evidence-based practice, meeting people where they are and helping them reach their full potential. Today, we provide a continuum of services that support clients across the lifespan—from newborn hearing screening and early-intervention therapy to adult rehabilitation, hearing healthcare, and community outreach.
What We Do
At Savannah Speech & Hearing Center, we deliver care that is both personal and comprehensive. Our licensed and certified clinicians provide:
-
Speech-Language Therapy for children and adults, addressing communication, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs.
-
Audiology Services including diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aid fitting and management, newborn hearing screenings, and auditory rehabilitation.
-
Early Intervention & Listening and Spoken Language Support through our Sound Start program, helping children who are deaf or hard of hearing build a strong foundation for communication, literacy, and school readiness.
-
Pediatric Occupational and Physical Therapies, supporting motor development, sensory integration, functional skills, balance, and rehabilitation after injury or illness.
-
Community Education & Outreach, including free hearing screenings across the Coastal Empire, public programs, and resources for families, caregivers, and professionals.
-
Support Groups & Lifelong Learning, including the Speak Easy stroke and traumatic brain injury survivor group, which meets weekly in a warm, welcoming hybrid format.
Our speech-language pathologists and audiologists are certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA); our occupational therapists by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA); our physical therapists by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA); and all clinicians are licensed by the Georgia State Board of Examiners. We also offer free translation services for scheduling and appointments and maintain accessible hybrid options where possible.
Where We Serve
In addition to our main Savannah location, we offer speech services in Pooler, and our free community hearing screenings can be scheduled anywhere throughout the Coastal Empire.
Our Commitment
Savannah Speech & Hearing Center remains dedicated to expanding access, promoting equity in care, and ensuring that every client receives the individualized support they need to succeed—today and for years to come.
