Empowering Voices. Enriching Lives.
At Savannah Speech & Hearing Center, we believe that communication is the foundation of connection. Whether you or your child are facing challenges with speaking, understanding, reading, swallowing, or even confidence in social interactions, we’re here to help.
Our speech-language pathologists (SLPs) are trained not just in the science of communication, but in the art of helping people grow—from infancy through adulthood—into stronger, more confident communicators.
Our Staff
Our Speech-Language Pathologists are nationally certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). They are also licensed by the state of Georgia and participate in ongoing continuing education to stay current with best practices in the field.

What We Treat
Speech and Language Disorders
Speech therapy can help improve both oral and written communication, as well as cognitive-linguistic development, brain function, oral motor skills, and the overall quality of life for individuals of all ages.
We begin with comprehensive screenings and evaluations to determine the best individualized course of care. Our services are available in person at our Savannah center, via teletherapy, and at our satellite location in Pooler, GA.
Common Signs That an Evaluation May Be Needed
You or your loved one might benefit from speech therapy if you notice any of the following:
- Difficulty speaking or being understood
- Problems following directions or understanding others
- Trouble remembering information or staying focused
- Difficulty expressing basic wants and needs
- Challenges with reading or writing
- Hoarseness or frequent voice strain
- Difficulty swallowing (dysphagia)
- Nasal or “muffled” sounding speech
Specialized Speech & Language Services
Child Language Disorders
Some children struggle to understand what they hear, see, or experience—and may have difficulty forming words or sentences to express themselves. These language challenges can impact learning, behavior, and confidence. Conditions we often support include:
- Developmental delay
- Language delay
- Learning disability
- Auditory processing disorders
- Central auditory processing disorder
- Hearing impairment
- Reading disorder
- Genetic syndromes
- Brain injuries
- Prematurity
We use age-appropriate tools and evidence-based strategies to strengthen language skills and support school readiness.

Reading & Literacy
Research shows that auditory processing—how the brain understands what it hears—plays a key role in reading success. Our team offers reading assessments to identify specific challenges and tailors therapy to build decoding, comprehension, and fluency skills.
Stuttering
Stuttering is a disruption in the natural flow of speech, often marked by repetitions, hesitations, or blocks. We take a holistic approach to stuttering therapy, helping clients understand the neurological, emotional, and environmental components involved.
SpeechEasy Fluency Device
We also offer the SpeechEasy® fluency device, a proven tool that helps reduce stuttering. While it is not a cure, many clients report increased speech fluency, confidence, and independence in social and professional situations.

Articulation & Phonological Disorders
Articulation challenges involve difficulty producing sounds correctly, often making speech unclear. These may result from delayed development, muscle weakness, hearing issues, or neurological differences. We help individuals form sounds properly and speak clearly across all settings.
Voice Therapy
A healthy voice is essential for communication. Voice disorders may involve inappropriate pitch, loudness, or quality (hoarseness, breathiness, monotone). Our SLPs work in tandem with ENT specialists to treat both functional and medically related voice issues.
Aphasia & Cognitive-Linguistic Therapy
Aphasia—often the result of stroke or brain injury—can affect speaking, understanding, reading, writing, and even numerical skills. Therapy focuses on regaining lost language abilities and retraining the brain for functional communication.
Aural Rehabilitation
We help individuals—both children and adults—learn or re-learn to listen and interpret sound, whether they are adjusting to hearing aids or transitioning to a cochlear implant. Therapy is personalized and follows a structured auditory development model.
Accent Modification
Our Accent Modification Program supports professionals who wish to be more clearly understood in the workplace and social settings. The program includes:
- 8 individualized modules
- Practical strategies for pronunciation, intonation, and stress
- Group and paired practice opportunities
- Custom sessions available onsite at corporate locations
Improved clarity leads to increased confidence and workplace success.
Speech Screenings
We offer FREE speech-language screenings by appointment to help identify concerns early. Early identification often leads to better outcomes—especially for young children.
