We were thrilled to host an early intervention camp program this summer! Our mission with this program was to help kids under 5 build strong literacy foundations and become effective communicators. We wanted to immerse each child in language and sensory rich play enabling socialization through therapy-based art, music, and movement. We focused on building joint attention, pragmatic and preliteracy skills.
It was a SWINGING SUCCESS and so much fun! We were able to send our kids off with great memories, their original artwork, personal libraries and hopefully a wealth of new skills and great memories.
The camp was made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Savannah Community Foundation’s, Hershel V. Jenkins fund. We hope to use this summer’s camp program as a blueprint with which to build future programs with an even greater reach.
