David Walker achieved a significant milestone this year, he graduated from high school! This called for a grand celebration. Many years of therapy and work at school and home contributed to this achievement as well as other milestones of great importance for David.

David initiated an interest in the band while at SHS. He approached the band director and asked if he could participate. The director added him to the drum line and later he was recognized for his participation in the marching band at Savannah High School and described at the end of the year banquet as the โshowstopperโ. David loved school, offering a warm smile and greeting to all his classmates and teachers.
At therapy he is eager to ask a familiar question inquiring what was for lunch today. He loves to talk about his favorite things; playing drums in the high school band, outings, and gatherings with family, and going to church and camp. He accepts public speaking opportunities at his church.

David is described as both eager to work and patient in this next step of life where he is attending EmployAbility GA. He is learning hands on tasks there that will transition into the community for jobs with related skills. He reports that he also reads books, the bible and works on his ipad while there.
David loves opportunities to be helpful at home and in the community and has a gift for helping people in need. He has goals set for this next chapter of life of securing a job, driving one day and his big dream is to preach. He is busy working to make it all happen. Way to go David Walker, the sky is the limit!
